What is YoungTravel?

Today, most students, either in middle school or in high school, are lucky enough to take part in extracurricular activities with their schools! Even though it is a delight for them to discover new activities alongside their classmates, most of them do not decide what they do or where they travel! YoungTravel will change that, it will allow them to collaborate with their teacher in order to choose the activities that they will be able to discover and the path they are gonna take while they are on their school trip! This will allow them to learn how to be more self-sufficient, while having the help and support of their teacher! The goal is to make the students feel like they organized a trip on their own! The school and the children will be able to pick from a large range of outdoor activities, sports, museums! Everything that we will talk about on our application will be shown on a map! That way if you are planning a trip in a specific area, you can easily see what the place has to offer! Our app will show activities from the European Union only, as every user will have to be a member of the EU in order to participate!

YoungTravel is mainly designed for middle schools and high schools! Even if the users will be the students, the person paying for the subscription will be the school! Any student from a school based in a country from the European Union will be able to subscribe and participate!

We are 5 student and entrepreneurs studying at emlyon business school. What brings us together? It is our passion for traveling. The values we share as a team are liberty, security, discovery and autonomy.

Les voyages forment la jeunesse : Quels apprentissages lors des voyages scolaires ? Although little mention is made of it in official curricula, school trips are nonetheless an important part of students' schooling. In addition to so-called formal learning, i.e. that which corresponds to the curricula, school trips are rich in informal learning and enable sudents in particular to build their relationship with others. Thanks to this article, we realise that our project should focus on shool trips because it is something really important in the development of childrens.

Quel est l’intérêt des voyages scolaires ? This article shows the importance of field trips for the education of students. During field trip, students learn to be autonomous. With our apps, we would like students to be even more autonomous by organized their own field trip. We want to give then the opportunities to discover what they are really interested in.
